The world's first drive to offer an 81.7GB per square inch areal density, provides 100GB of storage in a 9.5mm form factor. This drive is ideal for both notebooks and digital gadgets that need to store gigabytes of information in a tiny package. The drive offers a breakthrough in hard drive areal density by replacing the Pico Sliders attached to the drive's heads with Femto Sliders that are lighter and 35 percent smaller. The Femto Sliders, in addition to a lighter suspension, also increase shock resistance to 325G (2msec). Weighing in at 98 grams, breaking current capacity barriers, providing a compact, rugged solution for digital applications with insatiable appetites. |
