*Most Windows and Mac OSX-based PCs will recognize the drive automatically upon plugging-in. Computers without an available Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port and/or inadequate power supply unit (PSU) may need to use two USB ports or provide external power to the device.

 - Recording hi-fidelity audio at concerts and events
 - Creating/editing print-quality graphics for publishing
 - Traveling with massive amounts of data to avoid relying on network availability

If the computer's bus cannot deliver adequate power to the device through any single USB port, two ports can be used with the included USB Y-Cable. This is only likely to happen on legacy machines still utilizing the USB 1.1 specification.
